Mucosa
Definition
Mucosa is moist tissue that lines certain parts of the inside of your body. It is in your:
- Nose
- Mouth
- Lungs
- Digestive tract
- Urinary and genital tracts
Glands in the mucosa release a thick fluid called mucus.
